Summary of Demon (悪鬼, Aku Oni)

Takezo finds himself cornered by villagers and samurai, all intent on attacking him. With quick reflexes, Takezo knocks out a couple of samurai and dashes inside the house. He quickly put some clothes on and reemerges, surprising the samurai who followed him inside. Captain Aoki watches impressed by Takezo's strength and determination to fight for his life, willing to take on anyone in his path. Aoki realizes it seems impossible for Takezo to prevail against so many opponents, predicting exhaustion and surrender. He looks forward to seeing the moment Takezo realizes his impending defeat. Meanwhile, Takezo skillfully dodges attacks, getting dangerously close to the captain and knocking him out. He also states to granny standing next to the captain that her son and her both are untrustworthy , leaving her confused. As the remaining samurai charge towards Takezo with spears, he skillfully takes them down one by one. Meanwhile, the villagers back away in fear, labeling him as a demon for his ruthless killings. Takezo has always been a troublemaker in the eyes of the villagers. Suddenly, a villager attacks him from the side while he's distracted. Thinking quickly, Takezo uses the villager as a human shield to block the speared attacks from the samurai. Despite being called a demon, Takezo knows it's not the time to fight back against the villagers. Instead, he focuses on making his escape, knocking out any villagers who stand in his way as he goes. The remaining samurai start chasing Takezo, but he manages to leave them far behind as he runs. Suddenly, a stick trips him, causing him to fall to the ground. Standing over him is a monk, laughing and remarking, "Is it a deer or a boar? Whatever it is, it's really big." Takezo glares at the monk angrily as he continues, "But despite its size, it's got a small heart."
